Spring is Here – City Parks in Tallahassee

Vista Landscape Solutions provides landscape maintenance services to our clients.

But by taking care of your property, we really give you time. Time you can spend on more important things – like your family!

In honor of the first week of spring, we’d like to remind you of some of the fun things you and your family can do outside in Tallahassee!

Today we’ll highlight some of the fantastic city parks we have in Tallahassee. If you’ve never visited these parks, pack a picnic and check them out!

Tom Brown Park

Tom Brown Park has it all – sports fields, playgrounds, disc golf, a dog park, and walking trails. What more could you ask for in a park?

Cascades Park

A world class park, with multi purpose paths throughout that continue to Franklin Boulevard to the north and Railroad Square and Gaines Street to the west. There’s a splash pad for the kids, an amphitheater where concerts are hosted, and many other amenities. You can even pick up a picnic lunch at The Power Plant Cafe.

Lake Ella

Lake Ella is a great place to meet a friend for a walk, take the kids to Food Truck Thursday, and feed the ducks. You might even catch a local musician playing a few tunes!

Dorothy B. Oven Park

Famous for Christmas lights in December, Dorothy B. Oven Park is a gem of a park tucked in the woods next to Thomasville Road. There are lots of paths to explore and hidden spots to find.

There are more than 100 wonderful parks in Tallahassee.  You can find a list on the Tallahassee Parks website, or check out their map of all the parks in town. Who knows, maybe you’ll discover a park you never knew about that will become your new favorite spot!
